Hey, I’m Abby! (She/her) The Canine Handler and Trainer at Dorset Pier Mental Health. 🐕
From dreaming of dogs performing incredible tricks to making it my reality, my journey in the world of canine companions has been nothing short of extraordinary.
I’ve dedicated almost a decade to the animal care field, with a background in behavioral sciences and a specialization in professional dog training, forming strong connections with our beloved canine.
I've had the privilege of helping raise and train the incredible therapy dog, Harlow. Together, we've wowed audiences with jaw-dropping tricks, we compete in CKC rally and obedience trials and have achieved the highest level of trick title, "Expert.”
Beyond entertainment, Harlow is a full time working therapy dog, she has touched over 2000 lives, offering support and comfort during counselling sessions.
Now, we’re excited to introduce Poppy, a gentle and devoted golden retriever pup. She’s all about training, cuddles, and closely shadowing her big sister, Harlow.
As a Canine Handler, I focus on training,
Socializing and nurturing Harlow and Poppy. During my free time, I’m all about my dynamic duo, Fido & Fox, as we explore the great outdoors and tackle various dog sports, from obedience to herding lessons.
